Welcome to Wickenburg Unified School District
Wickenburg Unified School District (WUSD) has an excellent reputation for educating its students and is focused on balancing a core curriculum of math, science, language arts, and social studies with enriching areas such as the fine arts, physical education, technology, and Career and Technical Education (CTE).
We are very proud of our schools, our students and our staff. Wickenburg High School was named a "model school" by the National Commission on Education and Economy for its conversion to a whole school competency-based learning approach. They were also awarded the prestigious Golden Bell Award by the Arizona School Boards Association for the implementation of the Move On When Ready Program and Grand Canyon Diploma. Wickenburg Digital Learning Program has been named as one of four national models for blended learning.
The Wickenburg Virtual Academy serves grades K-12 with online instruction. Online students are encouraged to come to the classroom for any extra assistance they need.
Hassayampa Elementary School, Vulture Peak Middle School and Wickenburg High School have received the 21st Century Learning Program grant. This allows the implementation of programs which help enrich our students' education.
Festival Foothills Elementary School was highlighted in Time magazine for the implementation of the Knewton adaptive math program.
WUSD is becoming a lighthouse school district, and our students are the big winners. They will continually grow academically and will be better prepared for continuing their education through our WUSD staff’s tremendous efforts and hard work towards fulfilling our focus statement, specifically moving each student to the next level academically.
