Message From Our Superintendent

3/8/2019WUSD Parents & Guardians,Last night the WUSD Governing Board approved a four day week calendar for the 2019-2020 school year. It was a decision the board considered thoughtfully and completely in recognition of the impact this change will have on the district's students, families and staff members. You will find a copy of the newly adopted calendar at the link located on the left hand side of this webpage. We also have continued to maintain other helpful four day week information at this location as well. The primary goal of this change is to enhance the district's ability to attract and retain high quality teachers for our children. We know that high quality teachers make a difference when it comes to student learning and trust that the four day week will pay dividends in this area.I thank all who participated in this process through responding to surveys and providing feedback. We will now move toward implementation of the four day week schedule for next school year and will provide any necessary additional information as it becomes available.Best regards,
