Welcome Dr. Remondini

    Dr. Barbara Remondini, WUSD Superintendent      Dr. Barbara Remondini is a life-long educator with 25 years administrative experience. She began her career as an elementary and middle school teacher, focusing on creating and implementing highly engaging lessons for math and science classroom. As Assistant Principal at the middle level, she led a transition to block scheduling and standards-based lesson planning. From 2001 until 2010, Dr. Remondini served as principal of a large Jr. High School, leading the team to tackle issues related to changing demographics, extreme budget cuts and a grade reconfiguration for all junior high schools in the district. 

    In 2010, Dr. Remondini accepted the position of Assistant Superintendent in a rural Arizona school district, where she oversaw both the Human Resources and Curriculum/Instruction departments. Most recently, she has served as Director of Human Resource Services at a large, urban school district. 

    Between 2010 and 2019, Dr. Remondini served as Vice President at AdvancED, now Cognia, supporting accreditation and continuous improvement processes for schools and districts in the United States, Central and South America, and in the United Arab Emirates.   

    Dr. Remondini earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction, and a Ph.D. in Education Leadership all from New Mexico State University.  During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, home improvement projects, and exploring the great outdoors.
