Welcome to Vulture Peak Middle School!

    Spring at Vulture Peak

This is an exciting time of year at Vulture Peak Middle School because there are so many activities going on for students, parents and teachers to be involved.  We encourage families to participate in our spring activities before we bid our students goodbye for the summer.

First, we have baseball and softball games going on.  Currently, both of our teams are in second place, which will put them in line to play for the Championship game coming up on April 30th.  Check our calendar and Facebook page for more information about games.

Second, we have quite a few activities planned for our 8th graders.  They will have a chance to explore career opportunities at our Career Fair on April 24th. We have quite a few local vendors as well as state colleges who will be here to visit with students about different careers and educational choices for post high school.

Two trips are planned for our 8th graders.  They will be able to go on an overnight trip to the Grand Canyon at the end of April and a day trip to Hurricane Harbor in May.  These are both special trips for our soon to be freshmen. As future freshmen at Wickenburg High School, they are going to a transition assembly at the high school on May 9th, the same day our future 6th graders come to Vulture Peak to visit.

The final event for our 8th Graders is the 8th Grade Celebration, which will take place on May 22nd at the Del E Webb Center for Performing Arts.  It will be held at 6:00 in the evening.  Families are all invited to attend, but everyone must have a ticket to enter.  Tickets will be distributed to the 8th graders the week before the event.

For all students, we have our last assembly of the year on May 16th in our gym.  Parents are invited to attend. There will be games, competitions and drawings for prizes.  The final prize, a new gaming system, will be donated by Cops Who Care.

Finally, in preparation for students who will be joining our family at Vulture Peak next year, parents are invited to meet at the Vulture Peak Library on May 9th at 5:30 to learn about the school and ask any questions they may have.  Students will have been there earlier in the day, and can go around the campus with their parents and visit with teachers.

Please check our web page and FaceBook page for more information and to keep up with our adventures at Vulture Peak. It is a great time to be an Eagle!

Mrs. Anne Marie Davee, M. Ed.
