The yearbook class meets during 8th hour with Ms. Vaughn. The yearbook staff consists of 11 students from 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. These students take pictures, build the yearbook, and help with the sales of the yearbook. For more information, e-mail our yearbook staff.

Meghann Courliss makes band more than just playing an instrument. The program begins in 6th grade, and is best enjoyed as a seven year adventure. Brave participants are guaranteed to make strong friendships, hone leadership skills, and be challenged each and every day. Learning an instrument is really quite easy, but it MUST be done right by starting at the beginning of the year and never ending! For this reason, two classes are offered: 6th Period Concert Band and 7th Period Eagle Band. The concert band is for students who are just starting to get serious about music, while the Eagle Band is for advanced players. Eagle Band members also have the opportunity to play with Wickenburg High School pep band at this year's football games. If you are interested in learning more about these musical opportunities please visit the WHS Performing Arts page or Arts Boosters page

The Vulture Peak band includes Flute, Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, Alto and Tenor Saxophone, Trumpet, Horn, Trombone, Baritone/Euphonium, Tuba, and Percussion.

The Vulture Peak Chorus, directed by Laurel Tippe, is a combined group of 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students that like to sing and have fun! Any new student with a love of music is welcome to join! This class is offered during both 1st and 2nd hour, and it’s a full-year course so make sure you sign up at the beginning of the year. Students in this class will learn the basics of what it takes to become a well-rounded musician while singing great songs from many different genres. The Vulture Peak Chorus will showcase their skills three times a year at the Coffee Concert, Holiday Concert, and Spring Pops Concert held at the Del E. Webb Center for the Performing Arts. Students will also have the chance to compete in a choir festival each year where they will have the opportunity to earn a rating and even bring back a plaque!

    Our next choir event is:

    • December 16: Holiday Concert at the Webb Center, 7:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m.
