THANK YOU FOR YOUR GENEROSITY!
Hassayampa has many great supporters from the Wickenburg community and beyond. We are incredibly grateful every day for everyone who has shown our school, our teachers, and our students such incredible generosity.
It is a privilege and true blessing to be associated with this wonderful, giving, and caring community. We have witnessed the true meaning of Christmas demonstrated each holiday season. This year was no exception. This community, town people and local businesses, made the following possible for the families and children of Hassayampa:
- Over 180 children were recipients of Wrangler Wishes gifts.
- 120 food boxes delivered.
- 10 live Christmas trees.
- 28 individual children were given shopping spree for clothing and shoes!
- 4 bicycles given.
- Each kindergarten student received a gift
Special thanks go out to Benner-Nawman, The Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion, The Elk’s Lodge, Hoot’s Helping Hands and many, many generous people who supplied the wrangler wishes gifts. If you could see the faces of these families, you would know the meaning of gratitude.
Last year, the local Elks Lodge members wrote a grant to fund a food closet at Hassayampa. Because of this grant, each week Hassayampa sends food bags home to families in need. Also, to help us start the year, the Elks brough us a generous amount of school supplies for students.
In September, our Wickenburg Rotarians stopped by to provide each of our third graders their very own personal dictionary!
Another nice surprise came from the employees of The Meadows who stopped by with boxes of school supplies collected for all Hassayampa classrooms. Teachers had a great time gathering items!
