Festival Foothills Elementary utilizes Character Counts, a national framework that implements character education to our students. The framework is based on six pillars of character:
Character education teaches these universally accepted values in order to motivate young people to incorporate them into their lives. Character education is non-partisan and non-religious. During the school year our school counselor does Character Counts lessons. We also highlight one pillar of character each month through our morning announcements. More information about Character Counts is located in third through eighth grade student agendas or at CharacterCounts.org.
