Meet the Teacher
Degrees and Certifications:
I am a native of Arizona and have lived in this area my entire life. I graduated from Wickenburg High School and then attended college at Grand Canyon University, earning a degree in secondary education and English. After college, I returned home to Wickenburg and have been working in the Wickenburg Unified School District for 20 years. Over the last 20 years I have taught in a traditional classroom, worked at an alternative school and now teach in a blended classroom as well as being an online instructor. I have coached girls basketball (all levels) and junior high softball. I am currently serving as an assistant athletic director.
I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 20 years and we have two children, a son (16) and a daughter (13). Our favorite way to spend time as a family is through sports, especially basketball, baseball, and softball. We also hunt and camp as a family and enjoy just about anything outdoors. After my family, my passion lies in serving my community and working with my students. I genuinely enjoy helping others and love working with high school students.
