Degrees and Certifications:
I grew up in Constantine, Michigan running Cross Country and Track, and then went on to run competitively in college for two years, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the University of Michigan as a Physical Education major. I moved to Wickenburg and began teaching both Physical Education and Social Studies, and have since completed a Masters in Education at Northern Arizona University with a focus in U.S. History.
I have been the Cross Country coach at WHS for all 31 years of its “official” existence, and the Head Track coach in two separate stints totaling 28 years. I also announce the home football and basketball games at WHS, and have performed the task of announcing Pep Assemblies, which with the two combined I have been designated “The Voice of the Wranglers”.
I am still an avid runner, bike to school in the winter months, have twice completed the Boston Marathon, been an international traveler to Jamaica, France, and Eastern Europe, and have been the Close Up sponsor taking WHS students to Washington D. C.
