Degrees and Certifications:

Sue Baker

I was born in North Manchester, Indiana and raised in Toledo, Ohio. I have a Bachelor’s of Science degree from The Ohio State University-majoring in Agricultural Economics, a Master’s in Education from The University of Toledo and part of a PhD in Educational Technology from Arizona State University. I started teaching at Wickenburg Unified School District in 1990 as the WHS librarian. Since then, I have worked as the District Librarian,   helped start what is now the WDLP, taught English 9-12, and worked as the English Department Co-Chairperson. I’ve also been involved in the WHS Theater Department doing anything: assistant director, producer, dramaturg, costumer and prop master. I work with the Del E. Webb Center for the Performing Arts as Camp Imagination’s, their summer program, dramturg and costumer/props master. I am currently also working as the MOWR Curriculum Co-coordinator for English and Social Studies.

Outside of school I enjoy riding my horse and playing with my boxer dog when I’m not working on arts-and-crafts things.
